Staffing

Presently 9 staff members:

·        2 teachers

·        3 care workers

·        2 watchmen

·        1 nanny/maid

·        1 cook/cleaner  

All staff members have a general job description, mode of conduct, time keeping etc. and a specific job description.

They are all new to this kind of work and environment, some live very locally. Nanny and caretaker sleep overnight.  

English is limited in various degrees. Academic staff have a limited education and have been trained ‘on the job’ and a progression slowly and at different rates.

Opportunities exist for self improvement, staff training and meetings are carried out.

Teachers are worked more closely with and have been helped with assignments such as epilepsy, assessment, teaching methods, and parental involvement.  

Staff not used to equipment, therefore needed supervision in use, as well as looking after it and storing it in the correct place in fact so that it can be found and used again.
